BUILDING THE MACHINE – The Common Core Documentary

This video gives a great overall picture of National Education Reform, presenting those both for and against this agenda.

I liked this video, and I think all parents should see it, but it missed many of my biggest concerns… Please do a Google search and read the recent article from The New American magazine titled –
UN, Obama, and Gates Are Globalizing Education Via Common Core.

Thank you for providing this video and all your community service.
The video was boring to me, but then so was high school and college but I was able to reflect on some concepts.
    1. I think the most intelligent students drop out mentally in elementary school. These national and international standards will make the rest zone out.
    2. The most innovative and intelligent people I know are construction workers or farmers that may or may not have graduated from high school but have abundant life experience.
    3. High international standards remind me of the educational system in the USSR that chose the students life path before they were out of elementary school.
    4. It is apparent that common core is an end run around legislators and the local community designed to force each teacher and student to become robotic in their preparation for life.
How do we get out schools to a place to learn how to discover rather than a place of indoctrination?
